Denmark, ca. 1960s. A lovely solo armchair by Norwegian designer Torbjørn Afdal for Vamo. Features a solid teak frame with elegantly curved ladder back, slightly flared arms, and finely sculpted legs. Comfortable upholstered seat has been freshly covered in a durable charcoal wool from Maharam. Visually light and quite refined, we very much appreciate this Nordic take on a more traditional Shaker form. Would make a perfect desk or accent chair. Professionally refinished, the condition is mint.
