Set of Four Early Eames Dining Chairs
Set of Four Early Eames Dining Chairs
USA, ca. 1950s. A rare and early group of four DCWs (Dining Height / Side Chair / Wood Bases) by Charles & Ray Eames. Each features signature molded plywood construction finished with calico ash veneer. Comfortable contoured seat and back are supported by splayed tapered legs. Originally released in 1946, and manufactured by the Evans Molded Plywood Company, these examples are from the first generation produced by Herman Miller. Discontinued in 1953, and not re-issued again until the early 90s, this variant is quite scarce - especially as a set.
Lightly refurbished and in excellent vintage condition with attractive patina. Single rubber rear shock mount and 5-2-4 screw placement denotes age.
Dimensions: 19.5” wide x 21.25” deep x 29 7/8” high; 17.5” seat height.
