France, ca. 1960s. An embossed etching with equating and drypoint by Yannick Ballif (1927-2009). Features a carefully rendered abstract composition with original pariod gilt frame. Born in Longwy, but active in the Paris area, she studied under Johnny Friedlaender, whose influence is apparent. From 1977 to 1984, Ballif taught at l’Ecole des Arts décoratifs de Paris. An exacting and technically beautiful example of Ballif’s work. Condition is excellent.
