Antique Make-Do Chair Table
Antique Make-Do Chair Table
$2,400.00
USA, ca. 18th century. A primitive make-do chair table most likely from New England. Features a rectangular top with rounded corners supported by a unique chair base. Woven ash splint seat, gently tapered arms, and remaining curved back stretcher suggest the base’s original function. Wildly sculptural with great crazed red paint and pleasing surface texture. Yankee thrift and ingenuity at its best. Would make a lovely hall table or accent piece.
Dimensions: 44.5” wide x 33” deep x 26” high (in table configuration).
