USA, ca. 1950s. An attractive chest designed by Leslie Diamond for Massacusetts furniture maker Conant Ball. Diamond developed Conant Ball’s Modernmates collection in the early 1950s, following Russell Wright’s more Art Deco American Modern line of the 1930s. Both of which helped introduced modern forms to the average American consumer.
Features solid birch construction with three ample drawers supported by rectangular tapered legs. Recessed drawers and pulls create a tailored streamlined profile. Versatile scale offers plentiful storage for a bedroom, dining room, or even a foyer.
