Denmark, ca. 1970s. A rare set of eight Model 3272 Oxford chairs by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Originally designed in 1969 for the professors at St. Catherine’s College at the University of Oxford, each features a high ergonomic back supported by a cast aluminum swivel base. Includes six side chairs and two armchairs.
Crafted to invoke a sense of importance and privacy, they essentially create a room within a room when placed around a table. Quite comfortable, these chairs are well suited to both work meetings and leisurely meals. Upholstered in a supple chocolate brown leather. Price includes professional surface conditioning. Condition is overall excellent.
Dimensions: 25” wide x 22” deep x 50” high; 17.5” seat height (armchairs). Side chairs measure 18” wide.
