Set of 6 Rosewood Kai Kristiansen Dining Chairs
Set of 6 Rosewood Kai Kristiansen Dining Chairs
Denmark, 1960s. A stunning and increasingly scarce set of six Model 42 dining chairs by Kai Kristiansen for Schou Andersen. First introduced in 1956, this signature design is also referred to as the “Z” chair or Kai chair. The distinctly angular frame is constructed of solid rosewood featuring subtle joinery and sturdy tapered legs. The backrest is built with a slight pivot to provide additional contour and support. Freshly upholstered in Maharam Beck charcoal Danish wool, which is both soft yet durable. Finely crafted with dramatic graining, this comfortable set will work well in both formal and casual dining spaces.
Professionally refurbished and reupholstered, the condition is mint. Ready for immediate placement around the holiday table.
Dimensions: 21.25” wide 21.5” deep x 29” high; 18” seat height.
