Denmark, ca. 1960s. An early Egg Chair with ottoman by Arne Jacobsen for Fritz Hansen. Originally designed in the late 1950s for the SAS Royal Hotel in Copenhagen. Features a sculptural form with organic contour and accommodating scale - sure to become your favorite reading chair. Both chair and ottoman are in excellent structural condition with sturdy aluminum swivel bases finished with black rubber feet. Both pieces retain original labels and marks.
Since the upholstery is ready for replacement, this is a great opportunity to customize and restore a solid vintage example of this design. RESIDE can easily facilitate this process using our experienced vendors.
