Judith Trepp Acrylic Drawing

Judith Trepp Acrylic Drawing

$2,200.00

USA, ca. 2016. A large and impactful drawing (Nr. 2016-D-0049) by Judith Trepp (b. 1941). Features bright red acrylic paint on handmade cotton paper that is produced in a small, 400-year old mill in Aurangabad, India. Believing that the paper has a life of its own, Trepp employs its active surface as a foundation for her lines - whether bold and overlapping or fine and isolated.

Born in New York City, Trepp has lived primarily in Switzerland since 1970, where she is the Zurich correspondent for ARTnews. Since the 1990s, she has exhibited on the Outer Cape with a solo show at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum (PAAM) in 2011. Trepp works in paint, ink drawing and metal sculpture with a strong organic - and minimalist - feel.

Wonderfully strong with nuanced texture and a surprising stillness to it. Professionally framed, the condition is excellent.

Dimensions: 26.75” wide x 36.25” high x 1.25” deep.
