Sweden, ca. 1950s. An attractive pair of Cirkus lounge chairs designed by Carl Malmsten (1888-1972). Each features elegant curved body with flared arms supported by tapered beech legs. Branded mark to underside. Acquired in Stockholm in the 1950s, these chairs demonstrate a strong Art Deco influence. Original yellow wool upholstery is intact. However, these are ideal candidates for refurbishing, which RESIDE can assist with. A collectable pair of chairs from one of Sweden’s most respected designers and architects.
