Sweden, ca. 1950s. An attractive three-seat sofa designed by Carl Malmsten (1888-1972). Features elegant kidney-shaped body with sloped arms supported by conical beech legs. Branded mark to underside. Acquired in Stockholm in the 1950s, this sofa demonstrates a strong Art Deco influence. Original red wool upholstery is intact. However, this sofa is an ideal candidate for refurbishing, which RESIDE can assist with. A collectable and scarce form from one of Sweden’s most respected designers and architects.
