USA, ca. 1970s. A rare and fabulous pair of pepper shakers by Robert McKeown (1931-1989). Each features hand carved black walnut body inlaid with geometric resin design. A quality example of quality American studio craftsmanship. McKeown was a San Francisco Bay area artist known for his use of metal and resin inlay. His work was exhibited widely, including shows at the American Craft Museum in New York City and the Carnegie Museum of Art in Pennsylvania. Fully marked and in overall excellent vintage condition. Dimensions: 2” wide x 1 3/8” deep x 5.25” high.
