Norwegian Teak Tambour Sideboard
Norwegian Teak Tambour Sideboard
Norway, ca. 1962. A scarce and sizable sideboard by Arne Halvorsen for L. Jacobsen. Features teak construction with tambour doors that open to reveal generous storage. Wide shelves are perfect for linens, trays, platters, etc., while adjustable felt-lined drawers are ideal for flatware, silver, etc. Smaller right-hand compartment includes one adjustable shelf; however, we see this side as a clever home for pitchers, vases, and extra bottles. Thoughtful details such as carved pulls and elegant parallel stretchers create an overall chic design. Sure to become the focal point of any dining room, this would also make a sophisticated media console. Finished back allows piece to float in a room if so desired. Professionally refinished and in beautiful condition.
Dimensions: 78.75” long x 18” deep x 34” high.
