Italy, ca. 1950s. A playful and beautifully executed bronze sculpture of prancing deer. While the artist is unknown, these modernist, almost Art Deco figures, bring to mind the work of Austrian artist and metalworker Walter Bosse (1904-1979). Quite lovely and in excellent condition with a rich verdigris patina.
