USA, ca. 1950s. A relatively scarce armchair by Arthur Umanoff. Manufactured by Shaver Howard and distributed by Raymor, it features a solid black iron frame with rush-wrapped back and slatted wood seat. Quite comfortable, this would make a handsome desk or accent chair. We especially love its sculptural lines and unusual combination of materials. In overall very good vintage condition with pleasing surface patina. Dimensions: 24.5” wide x 24” deep x 27.5” high; 15.5” seat height.
