Denmark, ca. 1960s. A scarce Model 80 writing desk by Arne Wahl Iversen for Vinde Møbelfabrik. Features richly grained rosewood construction with a brilliant, bookmatched top. Sturdy architectural base includes thoughtful design elements such as refined box-joints - and an elegant center stretcher to ensure stability. Four dovetailed drawers with matched recessed pulls and one large middle drawer - with original key - offer ample storage. Two inset open shelves to front are a convenient spot for books, decorative objects, etc. Desk would be great floated in an office or study - and is likely to increase productivity by at least fifty percent. Professionally refinished, the condition is excellent.
