Denmark, ca. 1950s. A charming Model AT-33 sewing table by Hans Wagner for Andreas Tuck. Features solid teak construction with square top, two drop-leaves, storage drawer, clever removable basket, and generous lower shelf. Drawer is fitted with various compartments to hold needles, thread, etc. An unusual and somewhat esoteric form, this piece demonstrates Wegner’s distinct ability to add an understated elegance to even the most utilitarian designs. Would make a lovely side table - and even if one doesn’t sew, the basket is perfect for stashing remotes, magazines, toys, etc. Expertly and finely restored, the condition is excellent.
Dimensions: 26.5” wide x 22.5” deep x 23.5” high; each leaf measures 10.75” for a total width of 48” when both extended.
