India, ca. late 19th century. A large Anglo-Indian linen press or storage cabinet in the Regency style. Features solid rosewood construction with large doors that open to reveal two shelves and generous storage. Cornice and doors are heavily hand-carved with gadrooning, foliate details, and large starburst medallions intended to emulate gathered silk. Perfect for clothing, china, or pretty much anything. Professionally refurbished, it displays a warm surface with deep patina. Fitted with period brass hardware. Quite a pleasing thing to be around.
