USA, ca. 1960s. A large turned zebrawood bowl by American craftsman William Frost. An engineer by trade, Frost began turning in 1950, as part of his rehabilitation after an automobile accident. From selling his designs through Georg Jensen to being included in the Museum of Modern Art’s Good Design shows, his work was also featured in the 1964 New York World’s Fair. He was also involved in the early days of Design Research in Cambridge. An attractive and collectible example of Frost’s work in excellent condition. Signed to underside.
