Italy, ca. 1970s. A graceful and finely executed Murano glass bird by Pino Signoretto (1944-2017). Working with the pioneering glassblower Alfredo Barbini at age 15, Signoretto would become a master artisan in his own right collaborating with a number of significant artists including Dalì and Chihuly. Simultaneously stoic yet vulnerable, we love the technical mastery of this charming figure captured in smoky amethyst glass. Signed and in excellent condition.
