Sweden, ca. 1960s. A group of four black plastic nesting bowls by Sigvard Bernadotte (1907-2002) for Husqvarna Borstfabrik. Each features a matte black exterior with glossy red interior. Born a Prince of Sweden, Bernadotte was excluded from the line of succession due to his choice of marriage. He led a distinguished career designing everything from sterling silver serving pieces for Georg Jensen to furniture and more utilitarian goods in early plastics.
