Italy, ca. 1970s. A classic Post Modern floor lamp designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide. Visually striking and functionally precise, the Tizio was first introduced in 1972. Two counterweights allow user to easily direct light at will. Eliminating the need for extra wires, Tizio’s arms conduct electricity to the bulb, which was an early use of halogen beyond the automotive industry. In very good vintage condition with light surface patina. Dimensions: 54” high x 28” wide x 5” diameter (base). Item: 3301-4.
