Finland, ca. 1960s. A cylindrical glass vase and serving bowl from Oiva Toikka’s Flora series for Nuutajärvi. Designed in 1966, the collection included a range of high quality moulded glassware with an irregular pattern of flowers and leaves. Born in 1931, Oiva Toikka, was a Finnish artist and designer who started his career with Arabia. He became the director of Nuutajärvi in 1963. Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition.
