USA, ca. 1940's. A model M320 wiring desk by Massachusetts company, Heywood-Wakefield. Designed by Count Alexis de Sakhnoffsky, who fled to Paris after the Russian Revolution and began his career conceptualizing sports cars. From 1934 until the 1960s, he was a technical editor for Esquire. A classic Machine Age design constructed of solid maple wood with six steam bent drawers. Recently refinished in a satin espresso finish with natural pulls. Dimensions: 45” wide x 20.5” deep x 30” high. Item: 1000-7933.
