Finland, ca. 1970s. Originally designed in 1936 by Alvar Aalto, the Savoy series received much acclaim at the 1937 Paris World’s Fair. Executed in clear glass by Iittala, this example most likely dates to the 1970s. A versatile and pleasing object that remains a prime example of Scandinavian modernism. Condition is excellent.
