USA, ca. 1980s. A large cuff bracelet by Robert Lee Morris. Features soft, sculptural organic shape executed in sterling silver. Discovered in 1971 by New York gallery owner Joan Sonnabend, Morris first exhibited his designs at her art jewelry outpost in the Plaza Hotel called, Sculpture to Wear. During his long career, Morris has collaborated with designers such as Geoffrey Beene, Kansai Yamamoto, Calvin Klein, and Karl Lagerfeld to name a few.
