USA, ca. 1970s. A handsome pair of Wassily or B3 lounge chairs originally designed by Marcel Breuer in 1925/26. Inspired by bicycle frames, Breuer conceived of the Wassily chair while he was head of the cabinet-making workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. The set, produced by Knoll, features tubular chromed steel frames with thick, brown leather upholstery. Recently refurbished and in excellent vintage condition.
