China, ca. 19010. A stunning six-panel Coromandel folding screen in red lacquer with gilt decoration. Features hand-carved decoration to both sides. One side depicts a palace courtyard scene while the other illustrates flora and fauna. Heavy and nicely executed. Would be lovely behind a bed or as a room divider. In very very good vintage condition with appropriate age to surface. Dimensions: 96” wide x 84” high x 1” deep (when flat). Item: 3361-9.
