USA, ca. 1950s. A long sideboard or credenza by Heywood-Wakefield. Features central row of four deep drawers flanked by large storage cabinets all supported by flared legs. Felt-lined top drawer is perfect for serving utensils or flatware. Sculptural drawer pulls are classic Heywood-Wakefield. With origins dating back to the early 19th century, Heywood-Wakefield originally produced wicker and rattan furniture. However, by the 1950s they were delivering high-quality modern furniture to the American consumer from their plant in Gardner, Massachusetts. In overall excellent vintage condition.
