Africa, ca. 20th C. A hand carved wood tazawat or milking bowl form the Taureg people, a nomadic Berber group who inhabit the Sahara region. Features subtle incised geometric carving and old metal repairs. Sealed with black resin, the surface has a lustrous and intriguing finish. In overall excellent vintage condition with signs of wear and use. Dimensions: 16.5” diameter x 9” high.
