Delia del Carril Engraving
$675.00
Chile, ca. 1960s. A moody engraving with aquatint by Argentine/Chilean artist Delia del Carril (1884-1989). Born into the aristocratic world of the Buenos Aires elite, del Carril rebelled by becoming an artist, a communist, and a cultural force in Latin America and Europe. Known as “the Ant” for her strong work ethic and adored for he sense of wit. She was the second wife of Pablo Neruda, the Chilean poet, diplomat, and politician. To us, this is a remarkable artifact of a profoundly intriguing and influential moment in time. Signed, numbered, dated, and in overall excellent vintage condition. Dimensions: 22” wide x 28” x .5” deep. Item: 2371-155.
