USA, ca. 2020. A recent version of Marcel Breuer’s iconic B3 or Wassily Chair manufactured by Knoll. Features polished tubular chromed steel frame with aniline dyed belting leather slings. Originally designed by Breuer in 1925/26, and inspired by bicycle frames, Breuer conceived of the Wassily chair while he was head of the cabinet-making workshop at the Bauhaus in Dessau, Germany. Red leather adds a nice and unexpected pop to a modernist classic. In overall excellent condition with Knoll stamp to frame. Dimensions: 31” wide x 26 deep x 28.5” high - 17” seat height.
