Sweden, ca. 1940s. A rare and early pair of open frame Eva lounge chairs designed by Bruno Mathsson for Karl Mathsson. Originally designed in 1934, these chairs are examples of Swedish modernism at its best. Each features bentwood beech frame with gracefully curved arms and legs. The original hemp webbing was replaced with Shaker tape in the 1970s, which we feel only enhances the soul of this set. Recently refurbished, structurally sound, and in overall excellent vintage condition. Retain early labels and stamps to underside. Comfortable with a great look. Bruno Dimensions: 23.75” wide x 27” deep x 32.5” high; 15” seat height. Price listed is per chair.
