Italy, ca. 1980s. A LC4 chaise lounge originally designed by Le Corbusier, Charlotte Perriand, and Pierre Jeanneret in 1928. Labeled the “relaxing machine,” the chaise was designed to accommodate the natural curves of the human body in repose. The enameled black metal tubular frame can be adjusted from upright sitting to fully reclined positions. Features black powder-coated metal base and black leather upholstery all in excellent vintage condition. A nice variation on the standard design, which usually features a tubular chrome frame.
