USA, ca. 1960s. A nice earlier Barcelona coffee table produced by Knoll. First designed by Mies van der Rohe in 1929 for the German Pavillon at the 1926 Barcelona Exposition, the Barcelona table has become a staple of modern interiors due to its pleasing form and perfect combination of materials. Since 1953, Knoll has been the only licensed manufacturer of the Barcelona Collection. While there are some scratches to the original glass, this is an attractive, older example in overall excellent condition.
