USA, ca. 1970s. A moody abstract painting by Cambridge/Gloucester, MA artist Dorothy “Doffie” Arnold. A 1980 Graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, Arnold was a well-known local artist. She worked in landscape, abstract, and figurative genres always with a strong focus on movement and atmosphere. In 2002, Arnold’s paintings embarked on a three year retrospective that began in Germany, traveled to Russia and Italy, and completed its tour in the States. Features a jewel tone palette with original gold metal and wood frame. Signed, dated, and in overall excellent vintage condition. Dimensions: 25.25” wide x 1.5” deep x 26.25” high.
