Afghanistan, ca. mid 20th century. An older Beluch saddle bag most likely from the 1940s or 1950s. Features hand-knotted wool construction with traditional motifs executed in rich tones of red, brown, ivory, and aubergine. Would make a lovely small rug - or looks especially attractive draped over the arm of a sofa. Condition is excellent. Dimensions: 50” long x 21” wide.
