USA, ca. 1950s. A compact kneehole desk by Massachusetts furniture maker Heywood-Wakefield. Features solid maple construction with large curved top drawer and four generous storage drawers supported by wedge-shaped feet. Signature Heywood-Wakefield pulls suggest the design is most likely by Count Alexis de Sakhnofsky, a prolific industrial designer who created many pieces for the company. In overall excellent vintage condition with pleasing patina. Dimensions: 43.75” wide x 18” deep x 29.25” high.
