USA, ca. 1990s. An exceptional ceramic wedding vessel by Hopi potter Tyra Naha, a fourth generation artist. Features coil-built construction with traditional hand-painted bird motifs. Polished both inside and out, it possesses an impressive lightness and demonstrates refined technical skill. Signed with feather and spider glyph - the feather representing Naha family lineage, while the spider is Naha’s clan symbol. Naha’s work has been featured in various Santa Fe shows as well as at the Heard Museum. Condition is excellent.
