Don Shoemaker Salt & Pepper Shakers
$225.00
Mexico, Ca. 1950s. An organic pair of salt and pepper shakers by Don Shoemaker for Señal, S. A. Handcarved from solid Cocobolo, or Mexican Rosewood, each has a lovely patina with exotic grating. Falling in love with Mexico during his honeymoon, Shoemaker established his factory there in the 1950s. Eventually employing hundreds of skilled artisans, and providing a major economic lift to the town, Shoemaker’s modernist interpretations of traditional Mexican furnishings remain popular today. Condition is excellent.
