Canada, ca. late 19th century. A unique primitive cabinet or hutch most likely from Quebec. Features pine construction with upper and lower cabinets. Central panel lifts to reveal another area perfect for trays, platters, cutting boards, etc. Minimalist geometric carving, iron hardware, and traces of old blue paint add interest. Overall excellent antique condition.
Note: At one point, the back of the upper portion was drilled to accomodate a small television. We thought this was a pretty clever idea, so we left the hole. RESIDE can easily repair if need be.
