USA, ca. 1940s. A rare desk by Johann Tapp for famed San Francisco retailer Gump’s. Features high quality mahogany construction inset with leather top and geometric border. Six drawers and large cabinet provide generous storage. Asymmetrical wedge shape and brass hardware enhance late Art Deco design. While professionally refurbished, we have preserved the patina on this unusual piece. Condition is excellent.
