USA, ca. 1940s. An early example of George Nelson’s Model 4692 slatted bench or coffee table for Herman Miller. First introduced in 1946, these have become a classic due to their sophisticated yet rugged design. Features solid rectilinear birch top supported by black lacquered wood legs. Great for a foyer, living room, or even at the foot of one’s bed - and in a discontinued size. Professionally refurbished and in excellent vintage condition.
