Persia, ca. 1900. A charming Khamseh scatter rug with traditional tribal motifs. Features wool construction with a mix of vegetable and aniline dyes. Referred to as a “chicken” rug due to the small zoomorphic bird figures scattered throughout the field. In overall very good antique condition with a few minor holes, which are barely noticeable. Great next to a bed or in a small foyer, hallway, etc.
