USA, ca. 1956. Two sculptural side tables designed by Eero Saarinen for Knoll. Of recent manufacture, each features a white cast-aluminum tulip style base with durable laminate top. Inspired by a drop of high-viscosity liquid, Saarinen’s intention was to, “clear up the slum of legs in the US home.” With this form, he clearly succeeded. Condition is mint. Dimensions: 20” diameter x 20.5” high
