France, ca. 19th century. An antique baker’s or patisserie table most likely dating to the 1890s. Features a heavy wrought iron frame finished in dark green paint. Stunning red marble top features a subtle interior bevel. While many of these tables tend be quite ornate, we were drawn to this example’s clean lines and minimal ornamentation. In excellent condition with an old - yet nicely repaired - crack to the stone that is stable and does not detract from overall appearance. Quite a charmer.
