Japan, ca. 1900. A large and quite intriguing storage cabinet or campaign chest. Features wood construction with black lacquered finish and robust brass ornamental hardware. Top opens to reveal a removable tray insert while bottom cabinet opens to reveal three generous drawers with classic flush-mount pulls. While its original function is unknown, this is a substantial piece that would make an amazing bar or media console. In overall very good antique condition with appropriate age and surface patina. Dimensions: 42.25” wide 29” wide x 34” high.
