Sweden, ca. 1950s. A rare and striking lounge chair by Danish designer Ib Kofod-Larsen for OPE Möbler - retailed by Illums Bolighus of Copenhagen. Considered one of Kofod-Larsen’s most successful and collectible designs, it features an elegant and sculptural frame in solid, old growth teak that supports an inviting bucket seat. Taking its name from the the Swedish ski resort, Sälen, the Seal Chair demonstrates Kofod-Larsen’s ability to combine organic design with comfort and craftsmanship. Completely refurbished and upholstered in a high quality Maharam wool.
