USA, ca. late 19th century. A charming round Victorian hat box covered in early wallpaper with unusual applied newspaper bottom. Features sturdy wooden construction covered in subtle floral pattern. The story on the bottom tells the tale of a cash-strapped Caroline trying to survive various obstacles. Appears to have the name Nancy to the underside of the lid. In very good antique condition, and of a very useful size for storage. Dimensions: 10.75” diameter x 5.75” high.
