USA, ca. 1970s. A rare and early heavy gauge belt by Cochiti silversmith Joe H. Quintana (1915-1991). Features hand-wrought sterling silver conchos with unique “O” shape design, plus a stunning modernist buckle set with a single coral cabochon stone. A highly regarded silversmith during his lifetime, Quintana received many awards for his technical skills and artistic designs.
